Lounge/dining area
The Lounge has TV and video for your use and enjoyment, we have loose throws over the settees so the sand and suntan oil can protect them from staining. The dining room table can be pulled out and we have six chairs to use here but generally we only eat inside occasionally mostly we use the table outside the front door.
Main bedroom
Double bed, bedside cabinets and a large built in double wardrobe for your convenience. Double windows open into the room to ensure a nice fresh breeze can be achieved as desired.
Rear bedroom
Bunk beds and a single bed ensure this room can sleep three adults but as a rule we use it for the children, the choice is yours.
The immersion heater is in bedroom 2 but only takes an hour to heat up so we generally unplug it [a] to be green [b] as it acts like a radiator and makes this bedroom warm.
Bathroom
Toilet, sink, shower and washing machine are all their for your benefit. The immersion heater is in bedroom 2.
The bathroom is tiled floor and ceiling with a window to let out the steam!
Kitchen
We have made this kitchen as functional as possible and have provided all the cooking utensils you will need. There is a fridge with small freezer compartment, a microwave, gas oven with integral hob, extractor fan, kettle and toaster. In the 19 years we’ve owned the apartment this has been more than enough to cater for our family of five.
Swimming pool
Only the eight apartments can use the pool, it is not for any other property. Rarely are all eight apartments let the same weeks, until 2008 ours was only used 8 weeks per year if that for example. We have some very basic general pool rules, no use before 8am or after 10pm, keep your ‘toys’ and ‘floats’ cleared away after use so the concierge can maintain the pool on a daily basis unhindered.
Balcony
We have planted out the balcony to ensure you have privacy from the one apartment on the top floor either side. It is nice to enjoy the early sun here and also a late night drink watching the moon rise over the facing hillside.
Roof terrace
This allows some privacy if you want to sunbath or escape the other apartment users but generally it’s the washing lines that prove the most useful as a good breeze up high ensures on a sunny day your washing is dry in a matter of hours.
Barbeque
This is communal for all apartment users, we only ask if you use it can you clean it out the ashes the next day ready for the next guest.
Parking area
There is a parking area for four cars next to the pool area, there is also space on the road for parking, we generally use the pool car park but its on a first come first served basis. No one has a set place.
Top picture shows front parking & view of the 8 apartments in total - we are top floor middle property.
Windows
All windows have mosquito nets to ensure no unwanted visitors have a ‘drink’ in the night, the plug in anti mosquito devices are worth their weight in gold but the big tip is don’t leave the back or front door open at dark with the internal lights on as this attracts them in the first place. SO DON’T!
Air-conditioning
This has been fitted for your benefit, please be sensible with its use in terms of the global environment and the cost of running it. This year we are including the cost within the rental package but if this is abused we will charge separately for electricity from 2009.
