This is a selection of the establishments available, for speed in El Portet the apartment is next door but one to the Oasis Pasta / Pizza Restaurant.

At the beach front both of the bars do paella and a fairly good basic snack menu and for a real treat there is of course Le Dauphin.

In Moriara the Olive Tree Deli is fabulous with tables on the street itself and about ½ mile from Pepe La Sal on the Teulada Road is Monroe’s Carvery – open 7days per week it very reasonable around £4 per head for a beef / pork / lamb or turkey carvery 7 days a week from 12 – 12 otherwise:

Le Dauphin at Playa del Portet
A Campsa recommended restaurant serving excellent food. Spectacular sea views from the restaurant and laid-out terraces looking out over El Portet beach.

La Sort hotel, bar and restaurant in Moraira
La Sort hotel, bar and restaurant in Moraira. The restaurant is at the hotel, their cafe just round the corner. A long established, family run, restaurant, and regularly recommended in the Michelin and Campsa guides. It offers good food, particularly fresh local fish.

Antoniet
Another good restaurant for seafood paellas and fish. On the Avenida de la Pau, Tel: 96 574 40 16, and on the corner ground floor of one of the new apartment blocks in Moraira, with views over the beach. Arroz Abanda is a specialty.

La Bona Taula
La Bona Taula 1.5 km. along the Calpe road, is located right on the sea with steps down to the beach. It specialises in fresh fish and Galician meats.It has its own car park, so stopping here is quite easy.

Ca Pepe
C/ Haya, 51 - Moraira Tel: 96 649 01 44 The restaurant is in a side valley about 1.5 km from the centre of Moraira. The bill of fare is authentic Spanish. The restaurant is surrounded by pine-trees, offers rustic architecture and interiors decorated in natural stone.

Options
Avda la Paz, 2 – Moraira Tel: 96 649 18 99. From the opening in early 2003, this trendy restaurant has impressed many dinners. The Split-level dining rooms are modern. The seasonal menus include daily suggestions. In short great food, hospitality, warm lighting, soothing music and elegant surroundings.

Pescador

Restaurant 11
Offers incredible value for money. Dutch owned cafe and restaurant where contemporary flavors are combined to create a fresh and truly original menu. The kitchen is where top quality indigenous and seasonal ingredients provide inspiration for the Chef and his team.

Ca La Iaia
Just off the main Moraira Teulada road. A large restaurant with plenty of parking space. Outside dining in summer. Open lunch and Dinner.

Casa Dorita
To be found in the maze of small streets in Moraira, opposite the church on a pedestrianised walkway. The restaurant offers excellent regional dishes. They specialise in locally caught fresh, grilled fish.

Da Vinci
Italian cuisine on the coast road from Moraira to Calpe km 3.5 from Moraira town centre. Tel: 965 748 631. A formal restaurant restaurant with very pleasant decor. The food is Mediterranean and International.

Raco d’Arroz
Typical Spanish rice dishes; Paella, Fideua, and Arroz a Banda, near the Port in Moraira. Tel: 965 744 372 This popular family-run restaurant enjoys a solid gastronomical reputation based on the variety and outstanding quality of its rice dishes.

La Provence
E Avenida Madrid, Moraira. Tel 96 649 2288 Popular small restaurant in Moraira , a few doors away from La Sort, serving good reasonably priced French food. Recently, air-conditioning has been installed. Various specialities `of the week' are presented.

Olive Tree
Right next door to the Gemisant and specialising in a range of very interesting international dishes. The food is both good and economical. The restaurant is beautifully presented and a relaxing evening can be enjoyed. I was slightly put off by the fact they seemed more concerned with their regular customers than us as new ones.

Swiss Hotel Moraira
Swiss Hotel Moraira has a restaurant. The hotel has been refurbished, and is set in a quiet area high in Benimeit, about 2 km from Moraira centre.

Los Limoneros

Gemisant Restaurant and Pizzeria
1.5 km along Calpe road from Moraira is run by the Refugio Valles Family (Isabel and Juan) is the spacious - international and local dishes in a friendly, lively atmosphere with pizzas and pastas.

Los Leones
Restaurant at the Sol Perk Tennis complex offers summer barbeques and wine tastings.

Gema
The Gema Hotel is around 2 km from Moraira centre and is surrounded by villas. It is 300 metres from the sea and 5 minutes drive from Moraira.

Las Palmeras
(Placita de la Sort) in Moraira , where Peter is still serving patrons after more than 20 years in the area.

El Refugio
in C/ Almacenes, 5 just behind the port. Tel 96 574 47 74. A very Spanish little restaurant. However the service is very offhand, and unless you like this form of service, it is proably a restaurant to avoid. We had a freezing cold meal beside a door that opened and closed with resultant blasts of cold winter air, and nobody there cared.

The Jacaranda
Just a few minutes drive of the centre of town, and yet located in a very quiet and attractive residential area about 250 metres above sea level. The roof terrace has stunning views across the valley and the vineyards towards Calpe and Benidorm.

Cafe Wein
3 km along the Calpe road serves coffee, pastries and sandwiches and they also bake a range of classic bread, cake and pastry specialities from all around the world - fresh every day. Try them for bread, pastries and croissants, consider having breakfast here. Tel. 96 579 3804

Towards Teulada, just past the Barclaycentre, offers a range of international food can be enjoyed both inside outside on the large terraces.

Steak House
Close to Huang Zhou Chinese, offers beef or pork steaks raw with a heated 'stone' to let you cook it yourself.

Tico-Tico
Also on the coastal road from Moraira to Calpe quite far up, past the Pepe Ia Sal Supermarket. It is signposted just after this shopping area and calls for a very sharp right hand turn to find the restaurant.

Huang Zhou
Chinese restaurant which is on the coast road leaving Moraira towards Calpe, not too far from the village.
