Moraira
Local leisure facilities include golf courses and other sports like tennis and squash. Several day excursions are on offer to places of interest, like the mountain-top fortress of Guadalest, Europe's largest palm forest, and the nearby ancient city of Murcia. Families enjoy the Moraira go-kart track, or an outing to the Aqualandia water theme park near the large resort of Benidorm.
Terra Mitica
Terra Mitica is a huge attraction park with a vast range of rollercoasters and waterslides. To get there by car take the CV70 road out of Benidorm following signs for La Nucia (it's very well signposted). It's located just a few kilometres over the main A7 motorway on the mountainside overlooking Benidorm. Look closely and you'll see the words "Terra Mitica" on the hillside reminiscent of the famous "Hollywood" sign overlooking Los Angeles.
Terra Mitica is one of Europe's most exciting theme parks and is Benidorm's main tourist attraction. It has something for all age groups and for all 'fear thresholds'.
Don't worry about going if you're not a fan of the adrenaline rush as there are always plenty gentler options including some great water ride. To make sure that younger children never feel left out the park has cleverly constructed 15 kiddies’ rides which are replicas of the scarier adult version. All in all there is something for everyone at Terra Mitica.
